What wastes were deposited at the Helen Kramer Landfill site?
Approximately 2,000,000 cubic yards of waste are estimated to be deposited in the landfill at thicknesses over 50 feet. The following wastes were known to be disposed of at the site:
- Municipal refuse
- Septage
- Hospital wastes
- Industrial wastes incl. sludges, oils, degreasers, thinners, solvents, pesticides, heavy metals, and salts
